The slingshot is an exceptional three-wheeled sports car, reminiscent of a batmobile with its striking design. It boasts impressive acceleration, manual transmission, and is an exhilarating drive. There are five different tours available, and I chose Tour 5, which lasts 4 to 5 hours and costs 130 euros for two people, it is a beautiful designed vehicle which i thought it was going to be noisy because of both the engine noise and the wind but the only thing we could hear was the engine roar with excitement as a 55 year old man went back to his youth and was loving every second of it, it was a right hand, Manual, lots of power and a loud radio… Ready for the thrill I asked Kyle as i put my foot down,,,
The experience.
The journey commenced in Peguera, Calvia. We gathered at the office situated along the high street, where we received an introduction to the vehicle and a thorough demonstration on its operation and driving techniques. After this instructional session, we were ready to embark on our adventure, Kyle was holding the camera ready to take the video and photos as we drove, i was excited to drive this vehicle as i had read all about it and the journey was just starting as we left the shop, following the other Slingshots we started the trip.
Four slingshots and a motorcycle trike led the way as we set off along the road, passing Santa Ponsa, Magaluf, and Portals on our journey to Palma. We took in the sights, including the stunning cathedral, before merging onto the Soller road. Along the route, we admired the breathtaking scenery, featuring the iconic orange and lemon trees. We paused for a refreshing drink and captured a group photo before continuing through the Soller mountain tunnels, riding together in a convoy of slingshots. The Slingshots went at incredible speed and the acceleration was so fast you had to hold on to your hats as I nearly lost mine whilst moving,, WOW I thought! My nephew Kyle was very surprised as normally i am a slow driver but being in this car i turned into Nigel Mansell but only for a few hours!! Then we went through the village of Soller, then just ofter the town we turned right again we blew the cobwebs away with a blast of power then our journey took us through the stunning mountains, past the picturesque villages of Deia. We paused briefly for coffee and enjoyed another photo opportunity at Sa Foradada, soaking in its breathtaking vistas water and coffee breaks were frequent and cameras were always out we Continued onwards past Valldemossa, looking at the beautiful town we then down the mountain roads and headed towards Calvia, where we experienced a scenic drive around Cala Fornells, admiring the enchanting coves along the way. Our excursion concluded back at the shop, the trip was truly magicial and i will always remember the friendliness of the staff and the speed and control of the cars They are called Slingshot but i will always think of them as Batmobile as for this trip i was Batman and Kyle was Robin.
In summary, this was an excursion I truly enjoyed. The slingshot vehicle offered impressive acceleration and attracted plenty of curious gazes as we drove. With its open-top design the radio blasting and the feeling of the wind through my hair was exhilarating. I would definitely recommend this experience, I would definitely do it again as i honestly feel that my family would love to try it and i think it would be fun to let them feel the power of this car to them..
